How to play
Your robot runs on its own. Your only job is timing. Press Space, ↑ or W (or tap the game / the Jump button) to jump over rocks. When a red drone flies at head height, press and hold ↓ or S (or the Duck button, or swipe down) to slide under it. Low drones skim the ground, so those you jump. One touch ends the run, and your score is the distance you covered.
Speed, day and night
The game starts gently and the speed rises smoothly the further you go, up to about two and a half times the starting pace. Rocks begin to appear in pairs and triples, drones join after the first stretch, and every 700 points the world switches between day and night. The HUD shows the current speed multiplier so you always know how fast things are getting.
Tips for a high score
- Jump late rather than early. A jump that starts too soon lands right on the rock.
- Use fast-fall: holding Duck in mid-air pulls the robot back down quickly, which saves you when a drone follows a rock.
- Watch the height of each drone. High drone: duck. Low drone: jump.
- At high speed, look further ahead on the right side of the screen instead of at your robot.
- Playing on a phone? Turn it sideways for a wider view.
Why this runner?
Endless runners became popular because a run takes seconds to start and there is always "one more try". This version is a light, original take on the classic side-scrolling jump game: no ads inside the game, no downloads and no account. It is a single small page, so it loads fast even on a slow connection, and after the first visit it also works with no internet at all. Your best score is stored only in your own browser.
